fbpx Techmind Solutions LLC - Intel breaks the 5.0 GHz Barrier

The race for high-performance processors reached new heights when Team Red a.k.a AMD launched its Ryzen series.   Ryzen not only gave AMD the boost to stabilize its markets but also helped with acquiring new markets. A reply from Team Blue was always expected and they did reply with their 7th, 8th, and 9th gen processors.

For enthusiasts, Intel did not stop there, and on April 2nd they announced the new 10th Gen Intel Core-H Series nicknamed Comet Lake H breaking the 5 GHz barrier at 45 W with four out of the six SKUs in the lineup touted to have a single-core boost at 5 GHz or above thanks to Thermal Velocity Boost. Intel offered the first look at the 10th generation Comet Lake-H during CES 2020 just hours before AMD’s big Ryzen 4000 unveil.

Intel’s growing pangs of sticking with 14 nm not withstanding, rumors were afloat that Intel would accelerate the launch of Comet Laje – H before ceding further ground to AMD’s newRyzen 4000 H- series offerings. Now, Intel is finally making Comet Lake-H broadly available for everyone.
